What BaileyTrades actually is
A personal trading bot, built by Austin Bailey, shared with friends and family. It scans crypto and US equities for patterns and can place buy/sell orders through your own Coinbase or Alpaca account using API keys you provide.
What it isn't
- Not a brokerage. Your money lives in your Coinbase or Alpaca account, not ours.
- Not a fund or pooled investment vehicle. We don't custody, commingle, or transmit your funds.
- Not a financial planner, advisor, or fiduciary.
- Not regulated by the SEC, FINRA, CFTC, or any state securities regulator.
The honest risks
- Markets are volatile. You can lose money. You can lose all the money in a connected account.
- AI signals are not guaranteed. The models can be wrong, biased, or behave unexpectedly during fast-moving markets.
- Software fails. Bugs, API outages, rate limits, network issues, and platform downtime can cause missed exits, double fills, or no fills at all.
- Past performance is not predictive. Any historical results you see on this site do not guarantee future results.
- Crypto is even more volatile. 30%+ moves in a day are routine. Liquidations and exchange outages happen.
You are the operator. You connect the API keys. You set the size limits. You can revoke access or disconnect at any time from the
Settings page. You are responsible for monitoring your account, your taxes, and your overall financial decisions.
No warranty
BaileyTrades is provided "as is" with no warranty of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, uptime, or that any trade will be executed at the price or quantity intended. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the owner is not liable for any losses, damages, lost profits, missed opportunities, tax liabilities, or other consequences arising from your use of the platform.
Your choice, your account
You can stop trading at any time:
- Go to Settings → Connections → Disconnect your exchange.
- Or revoke the API key directly inside your Coinbase / Alpaca account.
- Or activate your personal kill switch (coming soon — for now, disconnect the exchange).
Data
We store your username, optional email, encrypted API credentials (encrypted at rest), session tokens, your settings, and your trade history. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone except the brokerage you connect to. You can export your data at any time from Settings → Danger Zone → Export, and delete your account from the same page.
This isn't permanent
BaileyTrades is run by one person as a side project. It can go offline, change features, or shut down with little notice. Your money in your Coinbase / Alpaca account is unaffected by any of that — it's yours.
